Best Protein Ever
This is by far the best tasting protein powder I ever had. Its great that the milk used is from grass fed cows. The protein powder is great with shakes, blends very well. The best thing of the protein powder is that there are no artificial sweeteners in it and no bad aftertaste. Best protein powder ever!

Grass Fed Whey Protein Powder
I've tried other vanilla flavored grass fed whey protein powders and this product is by far mixes the best, is the best tasting and the best value. I use it in smoothies and I also sprinkle it on my flax seed cereal to add more flavor and protein. I'm definitely going to order more and look forward to trying the chocolate and strawberry too!

Grass fed, cold processed whey!
This wonderful product is part of my morning routine. It mixes instantly, blends well with banana, berries, pineapple or is great on it's own. Throw in an organic free-range egg for a perfect breakfast or post workout protein blast.
The container size is a bit small, and I hope the price can be contained - but you won't find a better product.

Can you say "Yummy?"
I have tried many whey protein powders, but this particular kind is the best. It is free from heavy metals, artificial colors, flavors and sugars and is hormone-free. Very tasty and has a great smooth texture!

Impressive Whey
(Similar to chocolate review with a different taste section)
I have only been using this whey for a short period, but so far I like it and I highly recommend it. My thoughts are below.

I bought this due to the natural and healthy aspects of the whey. I love that it is a cold-processed concentrate and comes from grass-fed cows. I also like that it uses sunflower lecithin rather than soy. I wish that it were organic, but at least it doesn't have any artificial sweeteners added. (although i do wonder what the "natural vanilla flavor" comes from.)

While there are other brands of whey that are cheaper, this is the best price I could find for grass-fed concentrate that doesn't contain fake sweeteners. Very similar to Dr. Mercola's, but at a cheaper price. 18 servings @ 17 grams of protein is decent, but could be better. Would love to see more servings and 20-24 grams of protein, but I guess we can't always have our cake errr protein and eat it too...

I always drink my whey shakes with milk or added to other recipies like waffles or oatmeal. It mixed very well with milk using my magic bullet. It really didn't have much taste to me. It tasted like a very creamy, frothy milk and wasn't sweet at all. I added a scoop of peanut butter and a half tsp of stevia (too much) and it tasted similar to a peanut butter milk shake. With that said I really liked the unique taste with only milk added b/c it seemed very light and clean. It doesn't taste anything like some of the other sweeter wheys such as Muscle Milk or Optimum Nutrition. It's a great basic flavor and will take on the flavor of whatever you add to it.

I had a little bloating after taking the whey, but not as much as with other whey. I'm using it to build muscle and I'm going to assume it will be just as effective if not more than others I have used. If it proves not to work well, I'll update the review.
Overall I really like the whey and think that it is the best that can be found at such a reasonable price. I hope that one day this becomes certified organic, but as it is I am definitely going to become a long-time buyer.

Excellent whey protein powder
I had been searching for a grass-fed whey protein powder that has no added sweeteners, and this is the best one I've found. Many of the sweetened varieties are too sweet to begin with, so if I want to add berries or other fruit they are extremely sweet. This one is perfect. Sometimes I make it plain with water or unsweetened almond milk and then I just add a few drops of liquid stevia to make it lightly sweet. Other times I mix it with fruits and don't need to add stevia. One of my favorite ways to have it is to add a sprinkle of sea salt, ground cloves, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cocoa powder to a couple of scoops of whey protein and blend it in a blender or shaker jar with water or almond milk and a few drops of stevia. If I have a really active day planned, I'll add a couple of spoons of almond butter and blend again. This is a hearty protein drink that lasts me till the middle of the afternoon.

Outstanding Product Quality
I have done indepth research into protein powders. How they are manufactured, what the ingredient hydroyzed protein means, and learned a great deal. Calcium Caseinate is the lowest possible quality of protein powder(and used in most protein bars). The second lowest is hydrolyzed protein powder. These both use strong acids and alkalis,and very high temperatures to obtain the final product and depend on evaporation to drive off the chemicals before packaging. No doubt there is significant residue remaining and the product is barely digestable. Conversely low temperature, whole protein concentrate from grass fed cows is the absolute best quality, as this product is. In fact other companies remarket this same product for double the price.

Leave out the vitamins
This is an excellent product and would have merited 5-leaves for excellence except for the added vitamins to the product. It is pretty close to perfect and would be, if the vitamins weren't added. Agreeing with another reviewer on this. Am particularly unhappy that IRON is added to the product as NO MALE needs added iron to his nutritional diet; that is bad for cardiovascular health! Please leave out the vitamins, improve the health benefits of it, and then it will be a perfect whey product. We do still buy it from Swanson and use it regularly because it is the best we have found, but it COULD be perfect with this small change of dropping the vitamins that are added. LOVE the fact that it is from grass-fed, no added hormones/antibiotics sources, and the processing is optimal.

Cut the Vitamins in the Whey Powder
Leave out the vitamins in this Whey Powder. They are in insufficient quantities to make any significant difference and only add to the cost.

I opened the canister and found it to be full - unlike many other brands I have tried. Many brands only fill the canister half way. The price is good for grass fed hormone free whey.

Awesome Product
I am NOT a bodybuilder but purchased this product as an after workout recovery drink. I mix one scoop with 2 bananas, 2 to 4 raw eggs and 6 to eight ounces of water. Fantastic product.
My only complaint is that does not come in a 30 day supply.

What I've Been Looking For
I've been looking for a high quality whey concentrate that won't break the bank and also tastes good without being too sickeningly sweet. I found it. Thanks again Swanson!! I love how mild the flavor is. It isn't too sweet at all and there is only a tiny hint of vanilla. Perfect for a purist like me.

Best value whey
This is the best quality whey there is for the price. Grass-fed cold-processed whey concentrate is the best you can get, and the price here is the best you can find. This is the best smelling whey I've used and it dissolves instantly in water. Very pleasant subtle taste. Beautiful!

Love this!
We really love this protein powder. I recommended it to my daughter, who is trying to lose weight, and she says when she puts it in her smoothies it really seems to keep her hunger in check, and I agree with her. It also gives my smoothies a creamier taste and feel. I like the price and the fact that it is from hormone-free, grass fed cows.

Whey quality is good, but clumps, vanilla flavor unnecessary and is perfumey, vitamins unnecessary. What Swanson needs is a plain whey protein isolate, preferrably CFM, with NOTHING added.
