my new magnesium friend
I very much like the magnesium citrate that I am able to buy from Swanson vitamins. The price and quality are remarkable. I have found this citrate form to agree with my system. Tablets TOO BIG
Honestly, these huge tablets are sized for horses. I bought two bottles but I can't swallow these things! They are three times thicker than you would expect. I'd rather take 3 small supplements comfortably than try to choke down one big one. And I do mean choke.

Magnesium for "Superman" workouts
I've been tracking my calories on a health website (fitday) and quickly discovered I was running a deficit in magnesium even though my diet has been rich in fruits and vegetables.
In fact new research is indicating that the RDA for this critical mineral should be raised.
For athletes, especially endurance athletes, higher levels of magnesium are critical for performance. Just google "Magnesium: The Multi-Purpose Mineral" and you'll find an excellent article backed up with references.
Since taking this product my workouts have become more efficient and I can exercise longer and harder. When I upped my overall intake from the minimum RDA (tracked) I noticed a marked improvement in my exercise performance.
At this price, for these results, I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Bravo!

We all need Magnesium
I think Magnesium Citrate is the best form but I would prefer a capsule. This large tablet is not difficult for me to swallow but I worry about the absorbtion. It seems ok. I feel better when I take Magnesium. My doctor told me an easy way to swallow a big pill is to tilt my head down a bit when I swallow - as opposed to tilting the head back. It works!

Very good product
I was in the market for a good magnesium citrate supplement because my multi doesn't provide me nearly enough magnesium. This is a very good quality tablet and the price is extremely reasonable.
One last thing. If you have a problem swallowing large tablets you might want to look in Swanson's inventory for another magnesium product. The item description says the tablet is size 'R'. I would concur concerning the tablets length, but the width of the tablet I would say is much closer to size 'S'. Personally, this is not a problem for me in the slightest. I just thought this information would be helpful for the 'swallowing impaired'.

horse sized pill
I have difficulty swallowing so this was a bit of a chore. I managed though and was really hoping for more relief in certain areas that this is supposed to help. It may not be the one for me afterall, but i sure hope it helps someone.

tablets very large
I have been looking for an affordable magnesium citrate and the price is good, however the tablets are Very large and difficult to swallow. I would rather take multiple tabs than such a large one, I tried crushing it and taking with yogurt but dont know if crushing is alright or not. I hope they will make a smaller tab in the future.

Pill size too Large but Good
Other than I find the pill size is not convenient I am satified with the product. I wish the tablet dimensions were a longer oval shape with less thickness. I find such pills much easier to swallow.

The pill is a bit large, but that's just what you get with a citrate form. It tends to be pretty bio-available and produces the results that I want.

hard to swallow
I find this one hard to swallow because of its size. I expect to have trouble unless I swallow it with a mouth full of banana.

Tablet way too large
I much prefer Magnesium Citrate because I'm over-sensitive (runny stool) to the other forms. Unfortunately, Swanson made this tablet too big. It's really fat and chunky and can get stuck in your throat. I tried cutting the tablets in half, but the chalky texture makes for a rough edge that can still stick in your throat. After having this happen several times, I threw the bottle out. It did work well for me, however, on the times I could get it down, as I absorbed it without the problems associated with the other forms of magnesium. Next, I will try the Magnesium Citrate by Nutricology Allergy Research at 170 mg and in a capsule form. Swanson, if you're reading this, cut the dosage down and get this into an easy-to-swallow capsule. A large tablet is not practical.

hope to cut the size in half
I only take an half of the pile at night to help me to sleep, it seems working, the size of the pill is way too big I have trouble to swollow it. I hope they make smaller pills, that all I need.

Great Magnesium for a Great Price
Magnesium is an important mineral, and many Americans don't get enough in their diets. However, a lot of popular forms of Magnesium (like Magnesium Oxide) don't absorb very well. Magnesium Citrate has been shown to be readily absorbed by the body, which is why my wife and I take it regularly.

Great product.
I give a little bit to everybody in the family. My son especially likes it, and gets it out every day even if I don't give it to him. He says it helps him feel calm. The citrate form is well absorbed, far better than the oxide form of magnesium. Swanson's price is good too--especially when there's a 2-for-1 sale!

Magnesium citrate is one of the best form of magnesium and swansons has the best. I hope swansons considers going to a capsule form as this is the best way of taking supplements. This also would make it easier to swallow.
