Favourite This has become my favourite relaxation supplement. I have used many from Swanson and others companies but this seems to work the best...... the one exception is taking it too close to bedtime seems to keep me awake. March 15, 2012

don't worry, be relaxed I am the mom of 5 kids, and all of the noise and stress that go along with that, but I have found that the l-theanine sort of helps me to stay in a better state of mind. Combined with melatonin - Great! My husband and I have been taking Suntheanine along with 1 mg or 3 mg or dual- release melatonin when we wake up about midnight, giving us another four or five hours of sleep in the second half of the night. Excellent for calming nerves I take this twice a day and it's wonderful for calming any uneasiness I may be feeling. It makes me a little drowsy after about 20 minutes but that doesn't last long, and then I just feel calm and content for quite a few hours. I take this morning and night along with 5-HTP. Calming effect I have been giving this supplement to my husband for years. It works! It calms him down and helps him sleep tremendously. I have always used the Swanson brand and find it better than some of the well known brands out there. Recently I have been taking it also - just one in the morning for my menopause. I WILL NEVER STOP TAKING THIS For years I have looked for something that would help me relax and feel calm, without also causing me to feel groggy. I am one of those people who is highly succeptible to anything that could potentially cause drowsiness. I have tried just about everything you can think of, but only L-Theonine seems to give me a relaxed, calm state of mind, without even a hint of drowsiness. Not Quite Sure What I Expected This product MAY be working, but it's difficult to tell for sure. I have been taking two per day - once in the morning before breakfast and one before dinner. It's very subtle. I haven't tried taking two at a time. Perhaps if I did I'd notice something more profound. I'm only 120 pounds, so it should be enough. At least it won't knock you out or make you groggy. May 6, 2010
