Of Course is smells bad I've taken Swanson's B50 for 8+yrs, more regularly now that I'm not eating well. I miss its' effects when I miss a day or take it too close to eating. A few discuss its aroma. My GrandMother told me many times about many healthy things; "It's good for you!". I guess I've taken it so much, I didn't realize it's so loud. I took a sniff just now. It's terrible, I don't think I'm going to take it anymore. Just kidding, it's good for me! September 15, 2011

Swanson B-50 This one is a daily must for me! Perfect mix of B vitamins in one pill. I take it in the morning for the energy boost. Yes, it does have that 'smell' when you open the bottle, but it should, and it let's you know that you are getting a GOOD quality B vitamin pill! I've been taking this one from Swanson for YEARS, and I LOVE it!! September 15, 2011

Very smelly I always love Swanson's products, but this B-Complex had such a foul smell that it made it difficult to want to take it every day. I would recommend another brand of B-Complex solely on that problem alone. I also believe that this contains yeast, which, in my opinion, is never a good thing. July 3, 2011

sw beat local prices by far sadly, New Zealand has not joined the price revolution in the recent decade. Local B vitamins in particular are up to 5x the Swansons price. I still buy fish oil and vitamin C locally, but in general Swansons prices are much better. The authoritative Swansons documentation is also very re-assuring. One local product I havn't searched on Swansons is a Comfrey/St Johns Wort topical cream, which seems effective on skin. Possibly Swansons already have this... September 19, 2010

Best purchase ever I was looking for a "one size fits all" B supplement. My wife was taking different B whatever combinations and I did not want to fall into the same camp. Smells terrible I have been taking this same vitamin for over a year now, but this last bottle of vitamins smelled terrible! They had kind of a "fishy" smell. I contacted Swanson's Customer Service and was assured that different batches may have different smells and that these are safe to take. But, I can't get past their smell. I sent them back. Hope they go back to the way they were, I was very happy with them until now. February 2, 2010

A BASIC ESSENTIAL I first learned about Vitamin B-50 complex in the 1960s; at a lecture by distinguished Dr. Linus Pauling. Someone in the audience asked Dr. Pauling which supplements he takes himself; and he listed B-50, along with Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and SOD. Since then, I've taken many different brands of B-50; but I found that most of the B-50 I tried would begin to smell funny and change color before the bottle was used up (even when it was kept in the refrigerator). But since I began taking Swanson B-50, I've never had that problem. I also do not feel overstimulated with this product; like I did with some other brands. So I now have decided that Swanson B-50 is the only vitamin B formula I will take. August 15, 2009

6 Leaves in Effectiveness I firstly purchased this product with the thought - I should take some good B complex. At first, I didn't take it regularly, only when I felt "let's not get defficient in B!" Then, I started to take it more regularly in stressfull days at work and I think it helps to get the brain work instead of being stucked with some bad stress feeling the whole day. But far the most I feel it with my excersize and that is why I said "6 leaves in effectiveness". August 2, 2009
